Don’t Miss Out This Ramadan

make the most of it before it ends.

Feed The Fasting

“Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will
have a reward like his, without any reduction”

(Al-Tirmidhi)

FEED THE FASTING

Fidya

When someone cannot fast in Ramadan and can’t make up the lost days afterwards (for example, due to ill health or pregnancy). Then they should pay for someone else to be fed.

This is known as Fidyah.

The rate is £5 per person for each day that is missed. If someone misses all the fasts of Ramadan, it would amount to £150.

GIVE FIDYA

Kaffarah

Kaffarah is the compensation that you should pay if you deliberately miss or break a fast in the month of Ramadan without a valid reason. To make up for the missed or broken fast, you must fast continuously for 60 days, or feed 60 poor people.

The total amount for each missed or broken fast would be £300

Sadaqah

“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the most generous person, and he used to become more so (generous) particularly in the month of Ramadan…. more generous than the fast wind in doing good”[Bukhari]
